Composition

Each ml contains: Gatifloxacin sesquihydrate 3.2157mg/ml equivalent to gatifloxacin 3 mg/ml. Preservative: benzalkonium chloride 0.05 mg/ml.

Gatifloxacin is a broad-spectrum 4th generation quinolone antibiotic that is active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It is a DNA gyrase inhibitor and also inhibits topoisomerase IV.

Indications and Usage

Gatyxel solution is indicated for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis caused by susceptible strains of the following organisms: Aerobic Gram-Positive Bacteria: Corynebacterium propinquum, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus mitis, Streptococcus pneumonia.Aerobic Gram-Negative Bacteria: Haemophilus influenza
