Indications and clinical use

  • ​Acute and chronic keratitis and conjunctivitis of an infections nature, with severe swelling and increased vascular injection.
  • Inflammation of the anterior uvea (iritis, iridocyclitis).
  • Scleritis, episcleritis and myositis.
  • Sympathetic ophthalmia.
  • Chloramphenicol is indicated if the infective agent is resistant to other antibiotics.
